Yes, today’s the day – ChordsUMC is now one year old! I started this whole thing on January 4 last year because I was dissatisfied with always having to write chords whenever I played in church. It started out with a few odd hymns, and now has grown to encompass more than 15% of the hymnal! There are now 108 hymns up here – that’s an average of a new hymn every 3.37 days!
And the statistics. As of now (6:58 am pacific, Jan 4) there have been 10,071 visits to date. Our busiest day was November 7, with 155 views. Here’s the graph of monthly growth:
In January 2009, there were 157 visits to the site, averaging 6 per day. This January, we have surpassed that already! In December, there were 1,612 visits, averaging 52 per day. So far in 2010, we are averaging 56 per day!
