OK, I’m a geek. Here’s something I discovered about the WordPress URL handling scheme: to look up a hymn by number quickly, try typing chordsumc.wordpress.com/hymn number, e.g. chordsumc.wordpress.com/451 for Be Thou My Vision. If the hymn is not on ChordsUMC, e.g. chordsumc.wordpress.com/999, you will get a ‘404 Not Found’ error. Two notes:
If the hymn is not found, that doesn’t mean it hasn’t been submitted by the community; look at the comments on the Submit Chords page to see.
This won’t work with some Faith We Sing hymn numbers because WordPress reserves these numbers, e.g. chordsumc.wordpress.com/2009.
