Hymn Of Promise
Capo 3
D
In the bulb, there is a flower;
Em
in the seed, an apple tree;
Dmaj7
in cocoons, a hidden promise:
D
butterflies will soon be free!
G D
in the cold and snow of winter
G
there's a spring that waits to be,
D
unrevealed until its season,
Em A D
something God alone can see.

Can you make this to print out more fully — spaced as the other ones are? Thanks!
Wonderful! Thanks!
How about something like:
D on “bulb”, Em on “seed”, A7 on “cocoons”, D on “…flies” (to D7 on “free”), G on “cold”, D on “winter”, Em on “spring”, F# (or F#7) on “waits”, Bm on “be”, G on “..vealed”, D on “season”, Em on “God”, A7 on “can”, resolve to D on “see”
This is more playable with the hymnal version and puts the changes on the correct syllable. Thanks
Thanks for your suggestions, I’ll take a look.
I’ve updated the post with some of your suggestions. I really need to overhaul a lot of the older posts on this blog; some of them have some issues.
